Moving is not an easy process, and to move from the East coast to the West – even more stressful. I sold my place in Toronto and was looking for a Realtor to buy a home in Vancouver. I am so happy I chose to work with Maria. In the hot Seller’s market she was able to make my offer as competitive as possible. I learnt that not only the price, but completion date, amount of the deposit, absence of the subjects can make the offer stronger. When we wrote subject free offer, Maria did due diligence before submitting it. She read the building documents, talked to the building manager regarding the building, consulted with the mortgage broker, and pre inspected the property. The first condo I liked was in Kitsilano area. The competition was insane – 11 offers in total! We could have bought it, but Maria advised not to proceed, as it was not worth it. I liked that she put a prospective of selling this place in the future. When you buy that unreasonably high, it is hard to make money after selling it. The 1 bedroom place was sold $80,000 above asking price.
